Ashlee Berner, third grade teacher at Sonoma Elementary, is one of six Michigan teachers nominated for the Detroit Red Wings Teacher of the Year. Ms. Berner was named Red Wings Teacher of the Month in November 2020. The winning teacher will receive a $4,000 grant and a virtual Red Wings player class visit.
